I've heard from a few people recently that, when they pointed out to a healthcare practitioner (HCP) that PEM* is not fatigue, the HCP felt that they were just being pedantic.
Episode of PEM definitely destroyed my life. I’ve also heard the term “Post-Exertional Symptom Exacerbation (PESE)” used interchangeably with PEM. I actually suspect doctors would respond better to that terminology. (Speaking as a doctor) ;)

I wholly agree with you. Fatigue is not the symptom of this disease because fatigue goes away with rest.

So so true. More and more research has confirmed that as expected Long Covid is the same as ME/CFS.
